Why Foam? What is Gen 4 vs Gen 3/3.5 & why should you care?

Benefits of Foam (why I'm loving the Ignite Elongated):
1.) The sweet spot is, well--basically, the entire paddle. Honeycomb cores (Gen 3) destruct, leaving hot and dead spots all over the face.
2.) Foam (Gen 4) is much more durable, your paddle will last 2x as long.
3.) I have no weight on the paddle. Read that again. I have ZERO weight on my paddle and I am hitting it as hard if not harder than I've ever hit it. For someone like me with wrist issues, this is a HUGE benefit to play a paddle out of the box vs adding even 6g of weight to it.
Is the Jilly B Signature paddle different construction from the "normal" Ignite elongated & hybrids?
Nope! It's just a signature colorway.
Is full foam (Gen 4) more powerful than honeycomb (Gen 3)/honeycomb w/ foam perimeter (Gen 3.5)?
Tough question to answer because as your gen 3/3.5 paddles destruct after 6 months+ of use, they can get hot spots all over the face. This makes you feel like they are more powerful (they are also more out of control). I think I hit the Elongated Ignite the same or harder than I hit my Fury Elongated. With the elongated arc I feel like my hands are faster than they were with the Fury.
Why isn't everyone playing Foam yet?
I've been hesitant to switch to an all-foam paddle because one, the Fury is such a great paddle and two, many of my pro friends HATE foam with a passion--they say it's hard to feel the ball. Even Joola hasn't announced the launch of a fully foam paddle until recently. Why? Well, foam is notoriously difficult to work with from a manufacturing standpoint. We've seen it in the perimeter of paddles for a couple of years now, but a fully foam paddle? Not until recently. Sure you can get full foam to hit fast, but can you replicate the feel of the Gen 3? Not every company can, which is why you hear such wildly different reviews of Gen4 paddles. That's why THRIVE waited to launch the Elongated and the Elongated Arc until they were absolutely perfect.
What's the difference between all the paddle shapes?
Hybrid has the lowest swing weight (108-113) aka your hands will feel the fastest. Has the shortest handle. Also available in a 4 inch handle (ultra thin).
Elongated has the highest swing weight (but still very low compared to other elongateds on the market, coming in around 116-119). Great if you love the elongated shape or have a two handed backhand.
Elongated Arc: Imagine if a hybrid and and an elongated had a baby and you got the best of both worlds. Longer handle, blended shape, with a swing weight 111-114 (right between the two paddles). My hands are lightning when I play the Arc.
